Guest guest
If the kidney fails to matabolize the protein.. it shows up in the urine. That being said... if one doesn't drink enough fluids and eats excess of proteins..it is possible to have some in the urine. Your narcotic drug very well may have inhibited the efficiency of your kidneys. I would retest 30 days from last dosage of narcotics. The urine dip is a quick screen for kidney damage/issues/disease. Diabetics have a high risk of kidney disease/malfunctions.. hence the dip test as a prescreen for diabetes. - Mommy to: Noah - 10/14/02 - 31 weeker - 3lbs 11 oz Jonah or Isabella - EDD 10/28/04 m/c 7/04 Open RNY 12/3/03 - 47 lbs gone and counting

Guest guest
I was wondering if there is any way protein in the urine could be anything else besides diabetes. I had to take a prescription narcotic for my infected tooth and today for my urine test there was protein in it. Last month there was none. Anybody know?
