There are some members in here that were pregnant BEFORE/DURING their

WLS, (was undetected by pregnancy test before surgery) or within a

week or two afterwards and their pregnancies progressed normally with

strict dietary/nutritional/protein intake and close obstetrical

monitoring of their pregnancies. I don't know if we currently have

any of those women or if they have all delivered and no longer read

the messages in here. By reading back through the gazillion archived

messages and asking new questions as you have them, you will find

this a most informative and supportive group!

Welcome!

Subject: Our Miracle Baby is Here

Well, after a very long 9 months, our miracle baby is here. I had

Lap RNY on 6-23-03 and found out a week later that I was 1 month

pregnant. Hospital just messed up. Anyway, it was rough, I was sick

the entire time, but it was worth it. Shelby Faith made her arrival

on 2-18-04 weighing in at 6 lbs. 8 ozs......and a head full of black

hair. Will post pics when I have a chance. I'm recovering well from

the C-section, her big sister thinks she's a keeper (for now), and we

just couldn't be happier!

Kathy,

Welcome to the group!! I would love to talk to you sometime as we live very

close to each other. I live in New Castle and you are in Newark. I haven't been

able to find anyone that is going through the same thing as me that lives close

by. I also had my surgery with Dr. Wynn on 10/16/02. I was reading your profile

and could really relate to everything you were saying. Please email me privately

sometime so we can talk at applekrazee@.... Hope to talk to you soon.
