Guest guest
What is the difference between the two? Is one better than the other after having WLS? I'm TTC and I just saw an OBGYN. Wondering if should see the R.E.
Guest guest
An ObGYN sees you after you are pregnant and the RE usually helps get you pregnant in the first place (infertility stuff)
Guest guest
addendum: SOME OBGYN's have additional specialty training in other areas such as infertility and they usually advertise their areas of specialized training in the phone book or other ads. My OB had infertility training so I didn't have to go to an RE for my infertility probs. MY OB handled it. Many people with reproductive issues (PCOS;infertility etc) see RE's. so my previous post doesn't mean ALL OB's dont do infertilty; some have the additional training. (I know how things get twisted around in these groups sometime! lol) ================================================================== > An ObGYN sees you after you are pregnant and the RE usually helps get > you pregnant in the first place (infertility stuff)
Guest guest
An R.E. is if you are currently experiencing reproductive problems (infertility) and they can help you with that. I saw an RE until I got pregnant and then I went to an OBGYN. The RE I saw prior to surgery was the one who actually confirmed my pregnancy with my 3 year old and recommended my OB. If you are having infertility problems (which is normally defined as not conceiving after TTC for a year unless you have diagnosed problems like PCOS or low sperm count) then you see an RE and they can help you with IUI, Clomid and what not.
