Guest guest
Deanna, Isn't it amazing to watch your tummy just jitterbug? LOL! I love watching my baby move... can't get enough of it! I keep telling him, " Do it again! Do it again!! " LOL! The pelvic pain... where is it located? I pulled one of my round ligaments by walking too much... and that gives me pretty bad spasams... also scar tissue (I've had three ab surgeries, too... so I can feel for you!). I'd double check with my ob just to be safe, okay? Nausea -- I'm at 32 weeks and while I had some pretty bad MS the first three-four months, it settled down until a couple of weeks ago when I get nauseated pretty easily, if I don't keep something in my tummy. Try treating it like ms... carry some crackers with you and nibble on them. That helps me. Headaches -- oh, girl, I am the QUEEN of headaches!! I get migraines at the drop of a hat, it seems. My ob gave me tylenol #3 to take when I just couldn't handle the pain any longer and while I have had to take them at times, I try not to. Before I resort to the T3's, I will drink a regular Vanilla Pepsi for the caffeine... sometimes that stops the headache. If that doesn't work, then I take one regular tylenol with a second soda. If THAT doesn't work, then I'll take one T3 and progress to two T3's depending on how bad the headache is... I had/have psuedo-tumor cerebri, too... and while my neuro thinks I may no longer have it due to the serious weight loss, he thinks it could be either PTC or just hormonal migraines. Hormones during pregnancy can cause some pretty bad migraines, even if you weren't suseptible to them prior to concieving. Talk the headaches out with your ob and see what they suggest to do. Drinking up to two sodas only gives you like 40 grams of caffiene, and one cup of coffee has 60 grams.... so it isn't that much caffeiene since the average amount to stay under is 4 cups of coffee... SOmething to think about... hoep they get better SOON!! Headaches are just so AWFUL! Guest guest
Just thought I'd share some info regarding the headaches and caffeine...I use the new Excedrin QuickTabs as they are Acetaminophen (Tylenol) with caffeine. They don't have asprin the way regular Exedrin does. I used to get migranes pre-WLS and found Exedrin worked best for me even compared to valium and enderal. Just seems like the caffeine in the pills helps get rid of my tension headaches much quicker than regular tylenol. I will say they do have a bit of caffeine in them--65mg for each tab of 500mg of Acetaminophen--and I take 2. I'm pretty much caffeine-free for everything else so I like to think it isn't that bad and my OB said it was okay.
