It sounds'exactly' like both of my babies. I wouldn't worry about the

stool. He isn't holding it, he just doesn't have enough to

'release'! LOL. Be thankful, who wants to change poopy diapers.

Is it true constipation (hard stools) or just not going? If he's just not

going, and you're nursing that's really very, very normal. All mine did

that, a week or more without a poo and then a huge one. My Ped said his

daughter went over 2w when she was that age. I wouldn't worry about it if

I were you because in reality, breastfed babies *rarely* get

constipated. It's not unheard of, but it's very rare. And constipation is

marked by hard stools, not frequency of going. Your ped should know this...

Knees up? That's the oddest thing I've ever heard! My daughter was recently

constipated, I'm nursing, but she's also on baby food as well. I figured it was

maybe a new food that did it since each food I introduce sticks for a week to

see if there is any reaction. It was sad to see her go through that but she's

over it now. While Lhea was in casts, her poops were never interrupted -

through out that time she was only being nursed. And let me say that her knees

- legs, everything was always flying in the air. It amazes me the strength our

children carry. Now it's the - Ponseti shoes - watch out, cause if

that bar gets you, you are in some major pain for a minute!

I was told by Peds and parents especially parents with constipation issues

(including my twin nephews which will be 2 next year) to add just a bit of KARO

Syrup in their milk - just a little bit. That would smooth out their poop in

their intestines.
