Guest guest
Hello eveyone, Ridley sleeps in his crib and moves about a lot. When he was younger we could use a grobag ( sleepiing bag) to keep him and he didn't thrash about. Our heating is off at night. He's in pjs and has a kiddy duvet and an undershirt ( Vest) on but even 2 hours later when we go to bed it's off and he feels cold to touch. How do you keep them warm? Guest guest
Melitsa, I'm not sure how big your son is or where you are -- I have a feeling you're not in the U.S. -- but maybe this will help...When our son was small, we ordered him Polartec fleece pj's from Lands' End (www.landsend.com). They are so warm that no blanket is needed. We got the smallest size in the two piece (top and bottom are separate) and without the attached feet. Then we completely cut open the seams on the insides of the pants legs and sewed on snaps instead. That way, we could easily change diapers at night without having to remove the brace. The only problem was that we had to have the pants on him before we put the brace on, because the waistband of the pants would not stretch enough to accommodate the brace. The pj's are very, very warm, and reasonably priced, plus they last forever. Both of our kids have worn them. I've tried other brands -- some came with snaps in place already -- but none were as sturdy or as warm. When you're done with the brace, you can remove the snaps and sew the pants up again. Good luck! Pamela Karydas, mom to Dinos (Konstantinos) B.CF.
