Guest guest
Mia, Where are you driving from? I have been there with the driving with 2 little ones. We have driven from Los Angeles to Iowa 3 times now. Once when the kids were about 3 1/2 and 6mos, then 4 and 2, finally 5 1/2 and 3 1/2. At times it has been rough. When they were 4 and 2 it was the hardest. This last trip we had one of those DVD players (2 screens so noone was fighting), and we also got them tabby trays (they make the carseats like desks in a way... they are at www.onestepahead.com) and they LOVED it. They keep asking when we are going to go on a long trip again The Mc house is great, I am sure as others have told you! And Dr. Ponseti, well there aren't enough words to describe how wonderful he is!!! Good luck and let us know how you are doing!!! and Becky 2 1/2, bilateral clubfoot > Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you all know we are leaving for > Iowa tomorrow morning (9/24) to see Dr Ponseti. Guest guest
Mia, I wrote you a message last night, but for some reason in didn't go through. I just wanted to wish you all the luck in Iowa. We just returned about 1 1/2 months ago. You will absolutely love Dr. Ponseti. You will also like staying at the RM house. It is so nice and the people there are very friendly. Hopefully you meet some other families who have babies with club feet. It is so nice to have someone to talk to that is going through the same things you are. When we were there, I was very lucky to have made such a good friend. Her little boy has club feet as well. Since we have left RM house, we keep in touch regularly. Our rooms were right next to each other and we are both from Michigan. What a small world! We made the trip with two small children as well. 3 1/2 mo. and 2 1/2 yrs. It was long, but they did ok. If at all possible, take a portable DVD player. Not only was it a life saver in the car, but also it the room. Not many of the rooms at the RM house have TVs. Have a safe trip and best wishes, Claire-01/16/04 BL Atypical cf Audrey-11/12/01 > Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you all know we are leaving for > Iowa tomorrow morning (9/24) to see Dr Ponseti.
