I am can't wait to see what Doctor ponseti has to say about s feet. It is our first trip out to see Dr P. We anticipate being there at least 3-4 weeks. We're staying at the Mc House since we're going to be there for an extended amount of time. It would be great to meet you and if it's possible. I'll have our laptop w/ us if you want to email me when you get in to town. Guest guest Posted September 19, 2004 Report Share Posted September 19, 2004 You are in for such a treat, meeting Dr. Ponseti & Staff, and staying at the RMD house. If you do end up for an extended stay, I highly recommend you familurize yourself with something called the " Cam Bus " which is a FREE bus service. There is a pick up point directly across the street frm the RMD house. This can take you to the hospital (saving time parking or dealing with scheduleing a volunteer to drive you) and it also can take you other places - down town Iowa City is a wonderful, fun place!!!! There is a street-mall to walk with lots of neat shops, a play ground there too, sometmes street people out playing their guitars or whatever for tips. There is also a natural history museum, an art museum, a little mall with a movie theater in it - all right there with in two blocks of the bus stop down town. Busses go to various parks, too. The drivers have always been real sweet to me about having babies and/or kids toting along, even when was in a wheel chair, they were real helpful getting us off and on the bus, etc. It's one of t hose things where if you have lemons, make lemonade, Iowa City is a wonderful place to be " stuck " for a few weeks! s.
