Guest guest
From Feb 26, 2000 A Clarion Call to All Ponseti Promoters: This morning we came across a show on PBS called Health Diary. It's a show that does mini documentaries for nationwide broadcasts on medical/health related issues. The story this morning was about an elderly surgeon who has spent his life in developing innovative devices to help heart disease patients. He is highly respected for his life-long work. Sound familiar? He even looked like Dr. Ponseti. Anyway, after a very well done presentation, which highlighted his many accomplishments, the commentator said, in essence, " We are continuing to look for stories such as these to make segments on for future series. " Well, I couldn't find a pencil fast enough to scribble down the web-site location. and I looked up the web- site and it looked very promising. The show appears to do 26 episodes a year televised on stations on the country. It's sponsored by an HMO group and the web site location is www.healthdiary.com The e-mail address to send stories to is healthdiary@.... and I quickly revised our Oprah letter to fit their program's goals and sent it this morning. Assuming they are not at work over the weekend, they'll most likely preview our e-mail Monday. Anyone want to join us in sending their stories as well? If there are multiple stories about the Ponseti method they may pay more attention. and Allyson
