Guest guest
Thanks for clearing this up! Gaige has the same results...low T4 (not the free one) and normal TSH which is why the peds and psych (who ordered it) ignored it I guess. This along with his continually elevated Alkaline Phosphotase mean I really do need to press on some issues with the pediatrician. Of course the pediatrician probably wont see it that way, but I have been very worried about the ALPs being high even back to a blood test I found from when he was 19 months old before he was taking any drugs. He also has on almost every test, off lymphoctyes all those things listed with it but since he has never had a cold, I haven't been able to figure this out. He has been to see a geneticist but she keep deferring to the pediatrician who is a resident, and I am not getting anywhere. She suggested seeing an endocronologist but the only one in town is an idiot. He's the one who told me that was AT RISK for delevoping diabetes in ten years and started harping on me about prevention and I was like 'he's not going to be here in ten years so that is really not the point of our visit". He was so rude that got in betweeen me and him and said in his slurred speech 'don't talk to my mama!" Anyway, maybe I should just take him in. I have tried to research this but not with a lot of results. He is extremely tall and has some physical anomalies which is why we were referred to the endocro. If he and were related I could convince myself he had it too, although I don't think his would be fatal...more like a mito-PDD. Anyway, thanks for that...I am going to print off your email and take it with me next time. deb...mom to three great adopted kids...
