Jill,

We have used all three of the pumps you have mentioned. Our current pump that Lucas is on 21-22 hours a day is the Embrace. I can tell you I like the Embrace pump. It is very portable and we have not had the pump flow errors like the Zevex was starting to have. The biggest drawback of the Embrace is the 1000 cc bag has a drip chamber and does not fit in the small backpack like the 500 cc bag does. This requires frequent filling of the 500 cc bag. (At a rate of 76 cc/hr it lasts only 7.5 hrs. when completely full. Especially since the other drawback of the Embrace pump is when turning on and off the pump or when the pump says the bag is empty (or it runs out) it automatically primes and thus we need to unhook it form Lucas. The Zevex bags were causing us problems with the change in the ingredients that the plastic was made out of in order for it to be FDA approved. Lucas weighs about 55-56 #'s so the pediatric backpacks are much lighter for the Zevex and the Embrace. HTH, Loriann
