Guest guest
Not sure what all you could see but bigger strokes show obvious white spots of damaged (dead) brain. Smaller ones (even though they cause lasting damage to the body) don't show up in the brain. Sometimes you may see imflammation or narrowing of arteries if caught at certain times. Some others on the group may know other things that show up from them. Darla Re: Re: Darla/all- metabolic strokes The way I have been explained it is that when there is less energy utilization for the brain and oxygen limitations due to the inability to utilize it appropriately, it causes imflammation in different areas of the brain. Imflammation can cause temporary narrowing of arteries which causes less blood flow and oxygen to affected areas of the brain. This in return, can cause strokes. Darla, Thanks for the info! What sort of evidence will you see on brain scans if there is or has been metabolic inflammation? Glad to hear you have been feeling better! I sure hope the girls are doing better! e, Chelsea's mom (nonspecific mito)Please contact mito-owner with any problems or questions. Get more from the Web.
