protein and glucose in urine

My little 5 year old has been in " crisis " this past week brought on

by a strep A infection (cellulitis) at his gtube site. He has a

foley in during his crisis times due to autonomic dysfunction.

Anyhow, in sometimes previous, during crisis, will have small

amounts of Protein in his urine. Well this time and continuing now

he has fairly large (+1-+3) amounts of protein in his urine. He is

also loosing glucose (+3) in to his pee while his blood sugar is

only 3.9 (borderline hypoglycemic). His ped. ordered a 24 hour urine

for protein and creatnine. We will drop that off this morning.

HOwever, I would love to know if the kidney issues are found in kids

with mito or if we are looking at a very unforunate child who has a

lot of bad luck.
