Bone Marrow Suppresion Question

I am hoping someone will be able to help me with some info on this. Miranda was just again released from the hospital with what was suspected to be sepsis but fortunatly was 'just a virus'. The big problem was she ran a temp of 106 for two solid days along with constant retching and pain. Then the serious probelm. Miranda does have weekly labs drawn for her TPN so we know where her counts always are. She is always anemic but high enough to be okay. We have been learning that when ever she gets sick, everything drops. This happened 8 weeks ago when she was sick and it happened again this time. But this time they dropped even lower. She went from a hemoglobin of 9.4 to 7.2, her hemocrit is at 22.6 and platelets at 88. Her white and red cells are also very low but can't remember the numbers. The hemotolgist spoke directly to Cohen who agreed for her to have a bone marrow biopsy and biweekly labs now.

The Dr asked if I was involved in any mito support groups and if so did anyone have any experince with this. Does anyone have any insight specifically with Complex iv, but any mito disorder as well? Thank you all so much for your help.
