, I have no words of encouragement for this mom, but I can tell

you if I didn't leave now and then I would completely lose it. It

is so easy to get absorbed into your child's problems and forget

about yourself and then all of sudden you are on edge all the time.

It is not good for you physically or mentally. Once a week and

I have date night. It is just a chance to be alone with one another

and take care of our relationship. Once a week also gives me a

night to myself- no responsibilities. Once a month I meet with two

different groups of friends for a girls night out. Also once a year

I take a long weekend trip with my college roommates. If I didn't

do this I think I would be in tears all the time, stressed out and

not accomplishing anything. I'm sure it would have a MAJOR affect

on Wyatt's health. I totally come from the philosophy if " mama

isn't happy no one is. " I know it will be hard for her to leave,

but after the first time it gets easier. Also before they started

therapy didn't she leave for weekend get aways? I know after 5 years

of therapy missing a couple of sessions is no big deal, but I do

remember thinking in the beginning we could never miss. Hopefully

you can convince her to go. It will be good for her.
