Guest guest
Hi Everybody One of my friends just found out that her daughter (age 5) needs a hearing aid and her insurance company is refusing to pay. I told her to appeal it because they are denying it based on the fact that (in her words) "they don't pay for hearing aids because pretty much everyone over the age of 65 has a hearing deficit and could use a hearing aid." I told her that they should appeal based on the fact that her daughter is 5 and has a birth defect. I also told her that I would look for funding resources, so I'm turning to you all, my trusted special needs Mommies. Anybody know kids with hearing aids? And/or how to find funding? I am gonna research on my own, but I was hoping someone could help me and/or point me in the right direction. Thanks for your help in advance Kathy+ Mom to Bethany (8.5-BCH, multiple delays,SID, Arachnoid cyst, mitochondrial cytopathy) and (5-minor delays, bowel issues)
