I am symptom free but have 2 girls with the severe form of this. I just recently started Paxil, the antidepressant 4 days ago because of all the difficulties I am dealing with. It just occurred to me that I should consider whether medications are safe for mito before taking them. I am not used to worrying about myself, only my daughter. I am wondering if anyone has been on Paxil and if the doctors consider it safe for mito? I would also like to know what your experience has been regarding side effects, and what they were. I would appreciate any input you may have because I am not under the care of any specialist for myself at the time. I am not considered sick enough to be under a doctors care for mito, but I do know I have some symptoms, but very minor.
