Guest guest
, I am very familiar with Reiki (I'm a practioner) and found that Lily benefited greatly from a daily practise of it. It may seem off the wall to most but when we narrowed down the focus to an " energy disorder " - I knew what I needed to add to her routine. At that time I knew many " energy workers " - massage therapist, cranio scral (sp?) therpist, accupunturists, accupressure therapists but was not one myself. Lily responded in such a positive way to the various treatments that I took many classes. I am a Reiki 2 and working on preparing to become a Master. Feel free to write me off list with any questions you may have. ANyway my moms neighbor told us about her friend and how she is a rieki healer. Well I was a bit nervous at first but honeslty with all my heart and soul I believe in this woman. My duaghter saw her a full year and once time was ill so ill that when beverly walked in she just held her hand over her and said call your doctor she is very sick. I am not a horrible mother but that day my duaghter was fine nothing seemed wrong. Then it happened she ended up with pneumonia I swear my rieki it does not hurt the kids so what is the harm. Guest guest
I have a neighbor who practices reiki and comes over 1-2 times week to do it on . I am not sure it helps but I look at it this way- having someone hold for 1-2 hours a week sure can't hurt. This is healing no matter how you look at it. hope it helps, Dawn
Guest guest
Taken from - Treated or tricked? Alternative health therapies diagnosed. By Dr Badu Bediako & Selwyn s - Jubilee Publishers Reiki: 'This is one of the better know methods of occultic healing touch. It is claimed that through the 'laying on of hands' a higher frequency of powerful cosmic healing energy can be tapped into. A person's psychic centres, or Charkas, are claimed to be injected with energy so their "Life Force" can be activated. Practitioners are initiated by a Reiki Master and there is a transmission of occult power. It should be pointed out very clearly this has nothing in common with the Biblical 'laying on of hands' for healing (see 5 vs 14-15), or appointment to an office as practised in many Christian churches. Reiki is simply another term used to cover channelling demons into people, and should be avoided. ' (end of book section) Another section from the same booklet looks at the issue of Occultic healing : Occultic Healing is where demons heal people. Sometimes this is called an "Energy" or "Life Force". Evil spirits do heal. That may sound strange to some people. One of the many areas in which demons operate is in healing and also in the area of telling the future. One of the authors (of the booklet) comes from that kind of culture in Africa, where he has seen a lot of demonic healing. You may say, 'How can a demon do something good?' Well, eventually you will pay for it, for there is a price to be paid when you subject yourself to demonic healing. Spiritualism is involved. Jesus Christ warns us about such deceptions (see 24vs24 & Revelation 13 vs12-13). (end of book section) In sharing this I have no desire to be controversial, but other newsgroup members have asked, and have a right to know the truth. If anyone wishes to take the issue further, I am happy for them to contact me directly - off group. This group is not really the place for this kind of debate. Regards, Savage. howard@... P.S. Guest guest
and Gerry, I am so sorry I have as of yet not replied to your husbands very articulate email. I am swamped with work and a large portion of it is time specific. Tonight! Yikes! After this evening I will reply to both of you in a more lengthy fashion about Reiki. It is such a positive thing to add to one's life. Guest guest
I guess that spirituality is in the eye of the beholder. I know that has had a positive result from the time that our giving 'non-demonic " neighbor has given to her. I don't think anyone claimed that this healing was in the name of god. Spirituality doesn't always mean god. When you battle life and death every day with your child and yourself, sometimes it is hard to have faith in god (not something I want to debate here), but it doesn't mean you are not spiritual.
