Guest guest
Ototoxicity and nephrotoxicity from aminoglycosides is general to the public as well. It's one of the first things they teach us in nursing school and is in the PDR. I too wish the specialists would come out with a general list for Mito kids to avoid. Maybe someone could ask at the next MDA chat? And maybe post the response here for those that miss the chat session. Dr. Saneto sayas he recommends for all his mito kids to avoid: Tylenol, gentamycin, ringer's lactate, anesthetic called propafol and also nitrous oxide. The gas anesthetics cause hyperpyrexia (fever) and this puts stress on the mitochondria and increases symptoms.
