Guest guest
You do not need a prescription for MCT oil, you can get it at any health food store. MCT stands for " Medium Chain Triglycerides " and what it is is a fat molecule that is already half broken, so it is more easily digested and absorbed. My preference is for Twin Labs MCT oil (I also use Twin labs Mega Creatine capsules) as they have a very high pharmaceutical production standard. It's not very expensive. Do introduce it slowly in tiny doses as in the beginning it will probably cause a little bit of diarrhea, but most babies tolerate it pretty well once their little bodies realize they are finally getting some calories. kj (PS I'm a pediatric nurse of course)
