Guest guest
Some Chairians also get diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, which is usually what docs will diagnose when they can't figure out what the cause of your joint pain is. I don't know the incidence of Chiarians with joint pain, but I remember it being statistically significant. I never had it until after the onset of symptoms/decompression, and now I do get it on occasion. I don't know what the correlation is... I just sometimes seem to wake up and ache. For me, though, it's maybe a couple of nights in a row, every two months. When it happens, I just tend to spend more time in the bathtub with a good book e > > Is joint pain something that is associated with Chiari? I've had problems with joint pain in my ankles ever since I was a teen, but after giving birth to each of my kids it seems to get worse and spread more. Worst is in my knees and after my last child the joints in my hand hurt. If it's not associated with Chiari (which I haven't even been diagnosed with as yet) what else could cause it? I took it for granted that it wasn't that unusual, but I'm starting to see it's not all that common. > > Amazing how when you live with pain for so long you assume so much of what you deal with is " normal " ! > > ette > > >

Guest guest
Hi! I am on digest and I don't respond too often due to issues... However, I was surprised to find your questions on Joint Pain. - undiagnosised (Suspision of Mito) - complains regularly about joint pain. She complains about her wrists, hips and she always talks about popping. " I popped a bone " Due to the low muscle tone, her joints dislocate VERY often - mainly wrists, and hips. (She was born with congential hip dysplasia) I think the dislocation of joints atribute to the pain...I MAY be wrong... trust me I don't know everything... The way I look at it... is and these things are NORMAL for her! My 2 cents worth...
