Guest guest
used to get REALLY sick in car... When we moved to Georgia... was almost death bed bound by the time we made it to Florence. I just KNEW we were going to have to find a hospital. I have made many trips since that time with . I have a few "tricks" that seem to work for her. DO NOT give "sweet" snacks. Give Fresh fruit instead. Provide Plenty of gatorade/powerade (I give this to anytime we travel or will have to be outside in heat for extended periods.) Allow for meals "smaller" more frequently. If you are traveling by car, stop every 3-4 hours or so... (you can use more or less depending on your child.) get them out of the car. stretch their legs, get some air, etc...Do not feed them while in motion. It does take a LOT longer to make a trip but it's worth while when you are afraid of illness. couldn't go from Georgia to New Hampshire without becoming severely ill. She has made 2 trips to NH without incident... using my "tricks". Most of these tricks were given to the folks here because I, like you, asked the same question... In May of 2003. I hope this helps... Dorothy
