Hi all and a warm welcome to all the new ones here!

Have been reading some but have not had much time to read all and post much but I have a question.

We are going next week for a 72 hr EEG and then to see a pulmonologist to try to get to the bottom of 's breathing problems. We will be in the hospital all week.

We have never been for this long EEG, can some of you here share your experiences with me.

Should we take certain clothes.....button up the front only? Can you bathe? Anything you can share that will help us prepare will be greatly appreciated.

Blessings to all of you!

Hi . We are also getting ready for a video EEG trip in a couple of weeks. This will be our second go 'round. I would bring shirts that button up the front as it's easier to get on and off. Also, while hooked up to the wires, our girls were not able to take a bath in the tub. They had a "sponge bath."

I don't know where you are having yours done but, I can share a little about how it's done in St. . Our girls were hooked up to about 20 electrodes which were connected to a box and stuffed into a fanny pack. Also connected to the box was a 20 foot long cord which allows the kids to move around to a certain extent. The hospital has a number of activities for the kids to participate in. In addition, there's a toy room filled with games, movies and toys. They definitely make it as comfortable and "homelike" as they can. A camera is on them 24 hours a day. It's kind of weird to be followed around by cameras all the time. :)

I hope I answered some of your questions. I wish you luck on your trip and I hope all goes smoothly.

,

had this done in St Louis several years ago.I can't remember about certains clothes or Pj's.I do remember she had to have a bed bath, she was not allowed out of bed. They also kept a camera on her at all times and I had to write down what she was or had been doing every time she had any unusual movement.

Take some of 's favorite games or movies to help pass the time.

We'll remember you and in our prayers .

God Bless!
