Guest guest Posted February 1, 2004 Report Share Posted February 1, 2004 I believe you need to be alarmed when the blood is brown or very dark red, with black stools. This means it is digested blood, and he is bleeding internally. For him being only 10, though this seems pretty unusual. I would defiantly think this warrants a call to the GI.
