I'm glad the hospital bed is helping. It's wonderful her sibs can interact with Audrey more easily now! That must be such a joy to you and Amie. And anything that makes physical care easier is a boon!

Thanks for the update. Audrey is such a special little girl.

Hi all,

Thought I'd take a few minutes and let you all know how Audrey is doing. You have all been so wonderful in your thought, prayers and your caring words. All is much appreciated.

She got home Saturday and is doing OK. They got a hospital bed delivered for her on Tuesday. Even though she is only 2 1/2, she slept so good in a big bed in the hospital I suggested to Amie they see about getting one for at home. The other children love it because they can get up in the bed with her and cuddle, read her books and "play" with her. Also, it is easier to take care of her as far as lifting, changing, suctioning, etc. It is a joy to have her back home. She is on O2 24/7. Amie has tried to wean her off but her sats drop down in the 80's. I think her body has grown used to the extra boost of O2 and likes not having to work so hard. The congestion is much less than it was and she seems a little perkier today. I was down there for a while and when Amie went to get the other kiddos at school I stayed and cuddled with Audrey, even grandma can get in the bed with Audrey.

For now, things are running smoother. Amie is doing wonderful as usual. She is truly amazing, as I have said before. They are still trying to find another nurse to come in at night, but so far, no luck. Amie sleeps in the livingroom where Audrey is. We are just glad to have her home once again and hope this will be the last hospital visit.
