Guest guest Posted February 4, 2004 Report Share Posted February 4, 2004 We did not get the rash from lamictal, however, son has had the stevens johnson type reaction to Dialantin and Phenobarb. Both times it started with a light rash that spread all over his body and looked like sunburn. He also had a high temp and vomitting. In the beginning the resident thought it was a viral infection and sent us home from the ER. As the rash worsened he began having peeling in his mouth - like a blister. His white count also dropped. I would call your neuro and talk about the rash. Is it spreading or just on the chin? Does your child drool at all. I know sometimes that causes a rash on the chin. Hope it works out for you.
