Guest guest
Anne I SOOOO remember those feelings...I thought i would go insane...I haunted the poor mailman! In fact the day it came I met him a few doors down! The worst was at the conference...he was there looking up facts for another patient in his palm pilot and just wanted to either fall on my knees and beg him for the results (which after seeing dates on the report he would have had) or sneak into his room while he was sleepign and steal the thing! It was a real test of resistance for me! Hang in there and vent away. He told me 6-12 weeks and thought he could get it done before the conference which was 8 weeks away at the time and it came exactly three months to the day of the biopsy. deb...mom to three great adopted kids... Guest guest
Hi Anne, I understand that Dr. Shoffner's lab ran out of one of the reagents they needed for one of the tests, and then it was on backorder and only recently arrived. So that's why he's extra backed up. I know friends who went last fall and only recently received their report. I totally understand how hard the wait is, it's just brutal. Good luck. Guest guest
Hi Ann~I am sure you are going nuts. I feel for you! We are in the process of deciding on the biopsy or not. From your experience, I feel we should just do it since it takes so long to find out anything. I am at the point I want a name for all of Madison's " unexplained " issues but then it will b scary to have an actual name. I am thinking of you and your family! I will be looking for your post w/ your test results. Take care~Kim > Hi, > > I just had to write as I wait even longer for a hint as to what's going on > with my son. I called Shoffner's office as it will be 12 weeks tomorrow since > Asher's biopsy and I did learn that the last test to be performed on Asher's > tissue/blood, etc. was done this Tuesday, but that Shoffner has a pile of reports > that he's in the process of writing so.... plus he's scheduled to go out of > town to a Neurology conference at the end of April. I think Shoffner's great, > as is everyone that works with him, but I'm just reaching the end of my ropes > with waiting. I guess I'd kind of hoped that we really only had to wait 12 > weeks for the results (ha!) but now it looks longer. Then again, I'm almost scared > to get the results......oohh this is hard on us parents!!! > > Anne R
