Guest guest
Well, we got our swabs back indicating pertussis is the villain in our home. Unfortunately even Asenath and Zipporrah have tested positive. Zipporrah just barely is showing cold symptoms and began antibiotics yesterday. Does anybody know how good of a chance she has to NOT get bad with this since she started the medicine before coughing began? The doctors told us that after 3 days on meds we aren't contagious any longer so it is still ok for us to go to Mayo this next week and was ok today as well because Asenath was the only coughing one and had been on antibiotics for 5 days already. I still want to get together with the 4 families that will be at Mayo in the next two weeks but will understand if you would rather keep your distance. Just let us know. Please pray for our children though as the older ones have struggled so much with this and the little ones are just beginning the coughing phase. Hopefully with the meds they will not get too bad. I am so worried about Asenath and Porrah. I can't bear to think of them struggling for breath and Asenath has already had a stroke episode affecting her right side of her mouth two days ago due to the virus. I don't know how much her system can take. Darla: mommy to Asenath, Zipporrah, and the gangGet more from the Web.
