Guest guest
, I noticed that your son has COX IV and LCHAD and hypothyroidism. Exactly what is COX IV? Is that complex IV? Is LCHAD a result of the COX IV? My boys have GAII or MADD and we think it could be secondary to a complex I, II, III, IV, etc.... problem. I'd love to hear more about his diagnosis and who he sees. Thanks! Krystena s Caden 5 yrs GAII Carsen 7.5 mths GAII Vaccines advice Hi.My son Felipe (4 months old) had a bad reaction to pneumococcalvaccine. Guest guest
Krystina! You'll never guess, but I came upon an old e-mail that you had written. You probably think I am a snot. You had asked about Colby, way back in Jan or Feb, I think. Yes, COX IV is Cytochrome C Oxidase Defeciency in the IV part of the respiratory chain. We do believe the fatty acid disease is a result of the COX. Colby was born with so many signs. He had dimpled ears, dysmorphic features, A Huge!! fontenell, Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum, A Atrial septal defect, an extrememly high palate, that many DR. came to see. He has wide spaced eyes, and a thin upper lip, this is how technical it was. When I got his medical records I was shocked. Things that they told me were nothing, became something on paper. There also was so many things written, that I had said, that I had not. They said he had frog legs! Well if I can help you any more, just let me know, in between fighting for the computer between Colby's 2 brothers, who thankfully are healthy. God Bless mom to Colby,14,COXIV,LCHAD,ACC,ADHD ,hypothroidism and osteopenia. Chad, 16, healthy, Caleb, 11, also healthy> >Reply-To: Mito >To: <Mito > >Subject: Re: Vaccines / >Date: Tue, 27 Jan 2004 20:44:26 -0500 > >, >I noticed that your son has COX IV and LCHAD and hypothyroidism. >Exactly what is COX IV? It was the WORST time in my life. I had to revive him, he was black with no heart beat. I still have kind of have post traumatic stress, as do my 2 sons and husband. His cough lasted 100 days. Luckily his g-tube was still in. There is nothing anyone can do for whooping cough except take antibiotic to keep from spreading. Sorry for this, but if I had to do it over I would have let them given at least a small amount to see how he reacted.
