ABD.Swelling/Dozing off frequently

I really don't know if this is the same thing or not but my son, Asher, had the huge distended belly (esp. in the evening) b/c his intestines were so distended from gas - he has major dysmotility problems so he could not move the air through (we only found this out when they went to put the G-tube in him and his colon was so distended that they had difficulty finding his stomach underneath all the intestine. Anyhow, Asher would not eat much at those times and, thus, would end up sleepy and fatigue easily b/c of it. I don't know about the ammonia connection or so FWIW , this is what was happening with my son.
