Guest guest
I was told that a spinal block is safe to have, and you can nurse immediately following the surgery. If I were you I would be extremely careful, given Zipporahs condition. Anesthetic is very tricky with mito, and you and her will be getting everything. Just being on the safe side, I pumped and threw away the first couple of hours of milk. I had plenty of frozen stored because I was so worried. I have also heard of gall bladder surgery being done with a local anesthetic, safer for you both. One tip to help you eat until the surgery. When mine acts up, I eat nothing but plain white rice. It fills you up, and it does not bother me to eat it. It kinda stinks because it is so bland. Also I have been on this for over three weeks at a time, so I completely understand why you want this done. Best of luck.
