Hi, my mom suffers from the eye pain with her NS too. She has some eye drops that the Optometrist gave her. I think they are called Acular...they are supposed to contain an anti-inflammatory Toradol. They are the only thing that helps her. Hope this helps some.

Matt, I've had pain in my left eye since a bout of trigeminal neuralgia (5th cranial nerve) several years ago. It's a chronic ache that every few days worsens to feeling like someone stabbing the back of my eye. The first few months I had it, I went to 2 different opthamologists because I was just sure I had a tumor behind my eye. They both assured me, after thorough exams, that I "didn't have a tumor" (everyone who saw Arnold S. in Kindergarten Cop will know how to pronounce that). They said it was residual nerve damage. I don't know if this is any-thing like your situation.

Hi Rose, well actually things haven't been good. Mom is under hospice care now. Her congestive heart failure is really bad. Couple that with all of her Sarcoid issues and she's just a mess. It's so hard to see her suffer. As far as a job for me, I've been looking and putting out resumes but nothing so far. I'm trusting that it will happen when it is supposed to happen.

I still read posts, but I haven't had much time to join in. I appreciate your kindness and I will pass along the Mother's day wishes. God bless you.

Matt,

I have eye pain quite a bit. I had a bout with optic neuritis and now I

have eye pain off and on. I am assuming it is nerve pain there is

nothing else to do for it other than the meds I take for nerve pain.

Some times I put a light amount of heat on my eye (bed buddy heated on

low in microwave) and it is soothing.

Sorry that you have this but glad your eye doc said he doesn't see

anything. Just watch for decreasing vision in that eye in the event you

are getting ready to have a bout of optic neuritis.

Hi Matt

Does the pain intensify on moving the eye ?

Please be aware of any changes in vision (close your left eye as the good eye will over compensate) in my experience with optic neuritis the colour is one of the first things I notice going and just because the doctors and scans cant see the nerve swelling doesnt mean its not.

Matt I get eye pain too, I pretty much to the same, I turn my heating pad on

and lay down on with that eye on the heat, that is what helps the most, I

tried eye drops but the pain still came, it's not all the time, and some

times it hits all at once and is bad. I went to the eye doctor and he said

he found everything to be normal, but said it could be a sinus infection,

and gave me antibiotics, I took them, but it didn't change. It get all

around my left eye, it's numbing pain, if you know what I mean?

Take care Matt,

Hi Matt, I just went into ER too... I feel your pain! ER doctors are notorious for dismissing symptoms too. My ER visit didn't go well and I am glad to say I am home. I think I have hit my rock bottom. If that's the case though, I can only go up from here. Try to stay positive... I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Matt,

Here's praying that everything goes great with your surgery and you amaze the doctors at how well you do.

As to gas prices, someone told me recently that they are supposed to drop soon...who knows.

Take care of yourself//Connie Cohen wrote:

Hi went to uroligist yesterday and found out i have 2 kidney stones- they have

given me

some medication that they say should help me pass them- if this doesnt work they

will need

to operate again- I have been trying to stick to a diet and have been doing well

my first two

weeks- i lost about 4 pounds- I have also been moving things out to my moms- it

is

somewhat costly as it is 14 dollors every time i take the ferry to her house-

Matt, have you decided to move to your mom's after all? I think it would be so lovely to live there; just the ferry issue. I meant to ask you the other day. Why do they need to postpone your eye surgery until you get the stone taken care of? Are they afraid you'll strain with the kidney stone & somehow hurt the eye?
