Gracie use to have a lot of problems with reflux. She, also, did not respond well to Pepcid. She was switched to Prevacid, and what a world of difference. There is a powdered form, which you mix with liquid. It is pretty chunky but it does not taste bad. The only problem is that the liquid usually has to be ordered, and insurance does not like paying for it. Our insurance had us paying a $40 copay, but it was well worth it. Maybe you could ask your dr. to try to switch him to it. My GI only uses it if really needed, but it sounds like he really needs it. Good luck, if you need any extra info just ask.

Anne,

There are sooo many H2 Blockers on the market now. I'm not sure of the age you have to be to take them though. I would call your ped's office and talk to the nurse. There is something that can be done to alleviate that prob. and easily too. Good luck
