We have other appointments the rest of the week (GI, renal, uro, etc). I'd love to get together with anyone who's going to be there at that time. That goes for anyone else as well. Darla: mommy to Asenath Mayo Update Thanks to everyone who helped me with info about the clinic. We had an appointment for tomorrow but with the holidays and medical politics, we had to reschedule which is probably best since there is a lot of snow This southern gal does not do well driving in snow. I like snow but not driving in it. We went to J.D.'s managing dr, who J.D. just adores, mid Dec. She talked with Dr. Shoffner and he said that there were no answers for J.D. We had an appt yesterday and his managing dr, who does not say something unless she means it, told J.D. that he was her favorite patient. She also teaches the residents for adolescent medicine that come through the hospital/school. She said that Dr. Shoffner was the diagnostic dr and she was the managing dr and she thought it would be in J.D.'s best interest to go to the Mayo Clinic. She is faxing the paperwork. The Mayo Clinic has an in-born air clinic that sometimes helps. Plus, I have heard everything positive about Dr. Whiteman. The person handling J.D. will not be back until tomorrow so they will call with another appointment. I just love a dr who takes a stand for mito kids.
