Guest guest
Thanks for your help. Asenath has the Carnitor regularly so I have experienced the "fishy" smell at times. Zipporrah's blood lactic acid level last Friday was 3.1 and hopefully when we retest it will be better. Dr. Whiteman believes the numbers to be accurate due to the lactic acid spilled in her urine and the other abnormal test results. We will retest her either this coming week or the week after. Not quite sure when Dr. Whiteman said we were to do it as we have two trips to Mayo in the next two weeks and another the week after that. Darla: mommy to Asenath and Zipporrah and the other munchkins Re: Lactic acid ?'s hey darla i might be able to help you brandy had 9.1 % lactic acid in her body your suppost to have only 1% when she first got sick is when her lactic acid level was high they told me that is what makes them eat alot but not get full i know it sounds crazy but that is what they told me ... and they have a lot of acid reflex from it to so be very careful with this and make sure they test for every week they did that with brandy to make sure her level was not to high they put her on carnitor for this and it will make the urine smell fishy so dont be alarmed if they put the child on this ..but they told me that would keep her latci acid level down and it did but her disease worked rapldy on her so she didnt have a change in hell to survie but that is okay she is in a lot better place know .. good luck to you and let me know if i helped any .. your friend shannon Please contact mito-owner with any problems or questions.
