Kathy, I am so very sorry to hear that Audrey is not doing well. I was actually wondering how she was doing recently. Does Audrey use a nebulizer? I just recently got one for Chelsea and it does seem much more effective than just inhaled albuterol. Chest PT does wonders for Chelsea and I find laying her on her side with her head inclined down is the best position when she is having trouble managing her secretions. I get the best cough out of her when she is sitting upright, with the suction machine.

I sure hope Audrey feels better soon, I will keep her in my prayers!

We will definitely be praying for Audrey. We had thought we were doing so good getting through the fall and up until last month without any viruses and now we have this bad one in the home. Sounds like Audrey is dealing with a similar one. Sorry to hear this. Please keep us updated. By the way, we took another kid to ER today (3 days in a row w/ ER visits!) and they said that her lungs were hyper-inflated (Tirzah). Do you know why this happens? She was given IV fluids and then we were sent home. She looked horrible when we took her in and her lungs sounded terrible. But the x-ray said only hyper-extended lungs and suggested she be followed up with a pulmonologist. She has had quite a time of it these past few weeks. She got a virus that was going around and we thought she was doing better, but Amie just called a little while ago and said her sats are down in the 80's even with the 02 on. We are sure it is an accurate reading because the machine also counts her pulse and it is right on. She is passing very little air and has had to be suctioned several times this morning already. Amie called Audrey's ped and he told her to do two different breathing treatments and to call him back in 30 minutes, if she is not better they will need to take her to the hospital. She has gotten so weak, she just can't get that junk out of her lungs. She is also running a temp of 102.5. I am so worried. Thanks in advance. You all are great. I pray that her ped will stay on top of things and admit her right away

and that the gentle hands of the hospital staff will be with her.
