Zinc and B6

Hi,

I have been trying to give zinc supplementation to my son, who is high in

copper.

The first one I tried had a megadose of B6 (40 or 50mg in one tablet).

He became hyper on that after the 3rd day. We stopped, and interestingly 2

days later we saw an unusually good day. It appeared to be an aftereffect of

the supplementation.

I am trying again, but this time it is a different supp. It is a liquid one

and it has 4mg of B6 only in the 1 ml target dose.

I wanted to start gradually but I made a mistake in my measurment and

instead of 0.25 ml I gave him 2.5 ml the first night. No immediate reaction,

but then the next night approx 1 ml and the 3rd night 1ml again (after

seeing 2.5 ml going down without much immediate problem I thought Ok let's

give the full doze straight away).

Then the day after the 3rd doze he had a VERY HIGH STIMMING day, could not

stop jumping and stuff. Also, during the doze days, he was more stimmy than

usual. Unfortunatly, as often, we had something clouding the clearness of

the cause and effect thing, that day he had some pumpkin seeds and sunflower

seeds in her breakfast (low allergy gluten free rice muzli). He does not

normally eat seeds due to the diet we follow for the food challenges.

Zinc can drive copper out, in which he is very high, and when metals start

moving around I was prepared to see some bad effects.

However, I'd like to ask if any of you had experience with zinc against high

copper and what was that for you.

Also, if any of you know what bad effects can come when metals are moving

around (eg copper), I would appreciate a posting.

Also, would this (4mg) doze of B6 explain stimming/hyperness?

Thanks for answering,

Elvira
