Whoa--. This is a heartfelt compliment to ALL our chat hosts-- managing chats, or this list is a challenge. Many of our members have wanted to be able to openly discuss religious beliefs, healings, Bible text, etc--and so we gave them a chat room to do so. The reasoning behind that is exactly as you say--others don't want to discuss their faith- period.

This Group i thought was to Disscuss NS.. Not Be Seperated By This Faith Crap!

I totally understand, and yes- your opinion is valid. This group is to discuss NS--and the challenges of living with chronic illness. That is the format we've asked be used in the open group postings such as this.

I am sure i can speak for many... in the world There Faith in what ever Choice of Religion they have,, gets them through there problems.. but this is starting to seperate the purpose of this NS Group Correct???

NO-- and we (the moderators and owners) will not allow it to separate the group. The forum of these posts will continue, and for those that don't want to discuss how their faith/religion play a part in their journey with this disease-- we have the Chats with Matt, , and . The three of them have a tremendous knowledge of the medical background of this disease, and can easily answer your questions at that chat on Wednesdays and Sundays.

And to add a note ... I AM A PERSON OF STRONG CHARACTER ALSO !!

We are all "STRONG CHARACTERS" - AND THIS WAS NOT MEANT AS AN INSULT TO ANYONE. i APOLOGIZE.

Second.. My Faith is not getting me through anything... MY living for my Son is, So should we start a Child based chat also?? this is so not right.

jESSICA, i SO UNDERSTAND-- THERE WAS A TIME WHEN IT WAS BECAUSE OF MY HUSBAND AND MY SON-- PRIMARILY MY SON-- THAT I DID NOT COMMIT SUICIDE. Having a chronic illness is hard enough, and I totally agree, for some of us our FAITH is not what gets us thru the day-- it is our family. Sometimes we feel like we've been 'forsaken' and now we have to deal with the guilt of a lost job or career, our financial security, and our health--not to mention the soccer and baseball games we don't have the energy for-- so even if we are "Believers" to have to practice in what others think is the "Right way" is one more task we don't have the energy for.

-- your opinion matters! It will always matter. The day it stops mattering to anyone of our moderators or to Darlene and I-- that will be the day I give up my ownership of this group. and I don't intend that to happen.

Come over and spend some time with and and Matt. There is no expectations-- and you'll find the "Live" support there also. You can also join in the faith chat- and it may meet some needs there also.

The only reason that it is called a religion chat, is for ppl like you who don't want to talk religion. So please don't start an argument over this. We nare still here for everyone. , Before you come after me with a stick, I don't have a way to participate in the chat sessions, so I'm not pushing a personal agenda. I'm a little confused though about why it would make anyone mad about the faith based chat, there is a regular session as well for people that want that forum. I don't think anyone is excluding anyone else, the people in this group are too caring and concerned with other folks to do something like that, and I have never felt like anyone in this group thought they were better than anyone else. Believe me, I used to go to a site that supposedly was to help people with sarcoid, and got treated like dirt, and like a lesser person. Even though it is not possible for me to participate in either chat group, I am by no means excluded or left out. Everyone has been extremely kind about answering my questions and

helping me get through the aggrevation that comes from this illness. As to our purpose, we email each other about everything under the sun, including our children. I have three, and only one of them is grown and on her own. There are special concerns there, and that would be a good subject for either chatroom. People with children they are caring for have a special set of problems and worries to contend with. I hope I haven't made you too angry, that was truly not my intent.
