Guest guest Report post Posted March 18, 2004 I noticed in your email that your son has LCHAD. My daughter is awaiting the genetics test to come back, testing her for this. She does have a preliminary diagnosis of mito, but non specific. It is also known that she does have some sort of FOD, but also unknown. She is being tested due to her liver problems, and Dr. Cohen finding out about my horrible pregnancy with her. She is doing quite well on treatment, but we would like to know an exact diagnosis if there is one. If you don't mind, could you please let me know some more about LCHAD. I know the basics, but am unaware of how it affects the body long-term. I also believe there is no other treatment than Carnitor, is that right?
