Guest guest
We just got back from Disneyland. The fast pass is only available on certain popular rides (as if they aren't all popular) like Small World. It is great for the rides they offer it on. You just go to the ride and stick your park admission ticket into a machine. The machine gives you tickets back with a time on it such as 1:10 to 2:10. You can then go do other things and come back to that ride any time during the designated hour. We used it several times and just walked by the super long lines. Guest guest
, My name is and I tend to monitor the list in silence. However, I saw your message about Disney and wanted to share something with you. When we took our younger daughter, , to Disney last year it was a Make A Wish trip. Apparently they try to use the Give Kids The World village in Orlando for these trips. Give Kids The World has a website you might want to look at. If this is the place that you will be staying at then you're in wonderful hands. They will provide a button for the wish child to wear on his/hear clothing. They also provide passes for major area attractions (Disney, MGM, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Seaworld, Universal) and all of the attractions understand what the button represents. We never waited in any lines for an attraction. We were instructed to approach the exit/disabled access and notify the attendant of our presence. They were all incredible. If a character was greeting children in the park and saw she was immediately approached for greetings and pictures, regardless of the lines. That was tremendous for us since she tends to wilt quickly. FYI - If you are staying at the village......be prepared! It's kind of a resort all of its own. There's an ice cream shop open early morning until late at night, a buffet style dining area sponsored by Perkins, talking garbage cans, swimming pools, a miniature golf course inside a mountain (sponsored by Universal) and special events or guests daily. The parents are even given the opportunity to have an evening out while childcare is provided. They celebrate Christmas every week The village has a "mayor" that is a rabbit. He'll drive around the "town" at night and come to your villa (if you signed up for it) to tuck your child in. Each family is given a villa to stay in with a private driveway and entrance. The villa is stocked with snacks and beverages when you arrive. All food is free while you are there. Volunteers drive around the village on little carts in the evening and will stop if you're outside to offer you hot cocoa, cookies, etc. Each day they sneak into the villa while you are gone and they leave your child a present, so you might want to take an extra empty duffle bag with you! Make A Wish provided a rental car so that we could come and go at our own discretion. We had concerns about 's wheelchair, feeding pump, walker, etc. - but everything was taken care of. We were contacted by a medical equipment provider in the Orlando area to determine what we would need at the villa. They wanted to know if it was easier to bring the chair, feeding pump, IV stand, etc. or should they have everything provided to us at the villa. All in all it was a truely incredible experience, and I sincerely hope that your visit will be similar.
