Does it hurt after surgery?

Hello you guys, I have what they call a Class III underbite. I was

told today by my orthodontist that I'm going to need jaw surgery to

correct my bite. I am scared about the complications that may come

along with the surgery. This may sound dumb, but has anyone ever

died from this? Also, does it hurt really bad afterwards?
