Just wanted to say that I had lower advancement back in september, was wired and splinted for 7 weeks, and...just got the braces off yesterday. YEAH!!!! I'm thrilled with the results (and so is my orthodontist). Retainer goes on on wednesday, but that no longer bothers me. So for all of you who are at the beginning of the process or wondering whether to do it, let me tell you in three words: its worth it. I experienced very little pain, the numbness is almost completely gone, and I've also lost close to 20 pounds (and managed to keep it off). Thank you all for being here throughout the process. it wouldn't have been nearly as easy without the help and support of this group.
