Palette, Pallette and Palate, as well as Pedantry

May the dedicated pedant in me post now?

Folks, what you are having worked on, if it's the upper floor of your

mouth, is the palate.

What folks ship things on is a pallet. Also what kids spending an

overnight sleep on.

What an artist uses to mix colors is a palette.

I think there was also a German state called the Palatine, and there

was Pallas Athena, who was a Greek goddess. But ain't nobody paying

these bucks to get a pallette expanded, I hope! Nor, heaven knows, a

pallet, which are wooden slatted things, usually discarded, or trash

someone gets paid to haul away.

Sorry to be picky. But words are my business and my lifeblood.
