Guest guest Posted February 17, 2004 Report Share Posted February 17, 2004 I'm coming up on 4 weeks and I'm getting my splint out on Thursday. I've been doing some research on this site and I have found that most people have not problem with the splint removal process although some people have need local anastshia(not sure why the difference). I'll just have to wait and see. I'm also scheduled for the ortho next Tuesday. She plans to change my wires. I'm assuming that it will be uncomfortable considering I still feel some aches and pains. Does anyone have any comments on their first wire changes after surgery? How long after surgery did you get the wires changed and was it any more uncomfortable than normal? After that, I look forward to progressively eating better foods. Please feel free to ask me any questions since I am now coming up on 4 weeks post-op.
