Guest guest
Hooray, congrats on being cleared to chew! I'd think the medium-textured stuff like burgers and fries would be fine at 6 weeks, and potato chips break up so easily I don't think they'd cause troubles easier - but like he said, don't go nuts or anything. I'd still avoid really crunchy stuff like raw carrots and sticky things like caramels. My surgeon said I could chew soft foods the week after my surgery. I've been successfully chewing things like canned green beans, banana, and soft cookies. Enjoy your new freedom! Beth > Hi everybody. Guest guest
I'm 10 days post-op and had my first hamburger yesterday. ok, i didn't chew it, but i cut it into tiny pieces enough to just swallow them. sure it took me 40 minutes to finish it but it was well worth it!!
