Guest guest
Hey, i'm guessing you have an open bite, which is what i have as well. i hope things go well for you. i haven't started treatment (i haven't decided on an orthodontist or surgeon). i imagine the swelling is more severe, but the numbness less so. best and God speed. > Hello, > > Has anyone had Upper Jaw Impaction, i think the technical term is > LeForte I Maxillary Impaction. Guest guest
No one has used those terms with me, but that's what I'm having done. My molars are being brought almost half an inch closer to my eyeballs, and my lower jaw brought back about 4 mm. My surgery is March 25th. Write me personally afterward with specific questions and I'll tell you how it goes. Guest guest
Not me, but a lot of other folks. Read some of the back posts -- but don't get scared before you read past the initial difficulties some folks have. then come back with specific questions, and I think you'll feel better prepared about what may be going on for you post- op. It can start out rough, but almost always winds up with a satisfied patient, at least in my experience on these sites.
