When they were making the appt. they asked if I needed to be sedated to get the wires out? The doc was all the way down the hall and I didn't feel like asking him or I didnt think of it. The answers for this one, too, have varied widely, and I think it's probably because the wires can be in different places. If they are under tissue, and you're not numb, you may need some relief. Other folks have found it a snap. Just like removal of the braces. It depends on how sensitive your teeth are, where the stuff is and where the appliances are. They just cut the wires and unwind them to get them off. Now, if you have internal wires you probably want to be sedated - I didn't have them, but from what others have written it can hurt a bit. > Hey > Just have another question.
