Guest guest
Hi all! I just got the go-ahead from my surgeon to chew again. He said not to go crazy and rip meat off bones with my teeth - but to break things up and chew them. The strange thing is - I still can't feel my gums! (I'm almost 7- weeks post op.) Is this normal? I feel like I'm chewing with someone else's teeth! They look great - but I can't feel myself chewing - and it's a STRANGE feeling...or lack therof. Feeling is coming back everywhere else little by little. This may be a good time to schedule a tooth cleaning, huh...can't feel the scarping anyway ... :-) Seriously - how long did all of you have post-op numbness in your gums? /:-B , Corinne
