Guest guest
Hi! and hello! You sound as though you are just doing sooooo well, and I cannot tell you how happy I am for you. You have been incredibly cheerful and up about all this stuff, and I admire you more than I can tell you. Site one is just screwed, best I can tell, as far as photos go. Does your surgeon/ortho not have any photos, nor molds you could get pictures of? Mine both took x-rays, and the ortho did quite a few molds and photos. I'll bet they'd help you. Don't I remember that they offered you a job consulting with patients? College is a good time to have a hectic life. Congratulations, and enjoy every minute! Jibes are nasty comments from other folks. Like, " Hey, bony! " to a skinny person. Or " hey, Fattie! " to an overweight one. Or, " Where'd you get all those zits? " to someone who has acne. Just nasty stuff, that any sane and caring person should have more sense than to do. You might investigate cranio-sacral massage, since you are having other skeletal troubles. I haven't done it, but Fiddly is bright, able, energetic and found it helpful. I do know that skeletal imbalances can make troubles. As indeed can nutritional ones. But you're way too young to be having those difficulties, and I hope you can find some resolution for them. I had surgery at the end of June 2002. Am fine now. No complaints, except that the retainers chew the heck out of my tongue, which I also expect to take up with my ortho when I see him again next month. i can live with it, but I think he can help. So try to schedule lower Alabama and New Orleans in your travel plans, if you can! I'd love to meet you and buy you a bowl of gumbo -- not that such is enough to pay for a trip down south! But if you can come in any other season than the heat of summer, I think you might like it! e-mail me, if you think that might work. Best, Cammie > Hi Cammie, im fine thanks how are you? i think of you all too just > dont seem to get chance to visit the site these days. college is > great, just totally hectic 24/7, which i regret not being able to > visit the site as much. i know i keep meaning to post some up dated > photos but i never seem to have the chance. i will do within the > next few weeks or so, promise! its my birthday in 2weeks so iwill > get ome recent photos then. i the site one photos part still not > working? im trying to access my photos for another weird project at > college, studying identity a personal journey, so i thought i would > do pre-post op, freak my new freinds out a little, lol. > > jibes? are they like nasties? medications? at the mo i have > retainers still tho i have problems with the top one, the best way i > can describe it is like you know those withces glow in the dark > teeth you can get at halloween? thats what my top retainers like > and it keeps snapping, accidently, lol. i have to go and see my > ortho about it, oops. i dont mind tho will be nice to catch up with > him see if my job offer still stands, he told me to come bacj after > my degree and he would give me a job, not too shabby! > still having problems with my posture, well it was suggested that by > my gp, i sometimes get these unbearable sharp, almost stabbing pains > all over my back, feels like its in my bones, and sometimes its > burning pains. we arent sure whether its arthiritus as both my > parents have it, and its been mentioned before about my knees, > great, im the off spring who inherits all the bad, my older bro n > little sister get the height¬! lol... > > appart from that i am keeping well. thanks for asking > i hope ur keeping well. i admire you for keeping track with this > busy site, i dont know how you do it! > > i maybe making a visit to the states within the next year or so if > things go well! Guest guest
Hi Cammie!! Glad to hear that you are doing well too, retainers arent they just great? i had to put an old one in until i go to see my ortho in may and i got blood blisteres from them, great! nothing i guess we both arent used to by now though! good luck for the ortho appointment i will be thinking of you. i gotta say that i admire you and others like susan F for devoting so much of your time to this site, i dont know how you keep up, u r true saints! and in the last week before my op when i joined this site, i cant begin to tahnkouy for the support you gave me! do you ever feel like you havent had this op done? sometimes i do. even when i look in the mirror i dont recognise the person looking back at me, i still feel i look like i did before. i think its because it has gone so quickly and so well-less painfully than i thought it would be that idont really remember it as an awful experience. do you feel that or am i just weird? im weird anyway so there you go! Gumbo? lol. that made me giggle. my step dad said ooh proper food, he said he would definatley take up the offer, i will too for that factt. however since the op i dont really have a strong stomach for liquid foods. i cant seem to get the image/though and smell of burnt chicken bones out of my head. strange i know, but thats what the smell and taste of my medication reminded me of. i shudder at the thought, one word 'GROSS'. we have been hoping to go to the states for a few years now so hopefully we as a family, or myself with uni made do sometime in the future. my step dad went travelling the states when he was 16, and he meet some people who he has really gotten to know, infact he calls them his 'american mom and dad'. they are in seattle, but i know that he's interested in the south. my younger sister is hoping to come out there next summer, 2005 so i may join her if i dont cramp her style, lol... thankyou for the offer, i would love to meet you too hopefully we will. we should have a big group renunion that would be brilliant! im not sure about the jibes, as i dont see those people anymore, which i am great ful of. they left school and thats the last i have seen of them. though the low lifes that they were i am sure they would continue to name call, i dont care anymore though. im not ashamed to have had surgery and am proud to say that i have achieved a new self confidence, and become a stronger person out of it, im so great fuk to have had it or i wouldnt be where i am today and would more likely than not be hanging around with the likes of those people. as for college i LOVE it and have meet some really great- true good freinds who i love to bits! whats more i get to graduate in the York Minster a treat for sore eyes. if you ever get chance to come over to the UK i will return your invotation and show you some sights. i have noticed alot of americans visit york for its history. not sure of any english food i could treat you to, amybe some yorkshire puddings and Roast Beef! its a shame about site one, is it impossible to access photos now? i never saved any photos, from my digi cam so i am a little down about that. i found one the other day tho. yes my ortho offered me a job as his assisting consultant, he told me to do my degree first though and then go and see him. im particularly interested in photography, and thought about starting up a support group withinh the hospital, designing and producing news papers, adn when the patinets come in treat them to a photo session. i have alwyas wnated to goto a proffessional shoot, but never had the gutts because of the way i looked, though they other day i did and i throughly enjoyed it. i thought something like that would be nice for patients, pre and post op, to encourage them. if i get the photos back i will post some, though as we are led to believe they are very expensive, ranging from £75 to £1025 so may have to have one as a birthday treat, haha. my ortho does have some photos from when i first started going at 12. he took some each year, couldnt believe it was me when i saw them. i was thinking of writing to him to ask whether it was possible that i could have a copy of them as i am studinyg a persnonal journey at uni and for this site. do you think he would allow it? craino-sacral? my mum was really worried about my back and sent me to see the doctor at uni, it was friday the 13th-not that im suspicious but i got sent straight to the hospital for xrays, though they are clear. we are unsure if it is arthuritus or could have been caused by a bump i had whilst doing gymnastics a few eyars back. its weird as at the bottom of the spine you know u have 2 dimples, well between there i get fluid on the base of my soine and it swells up pretty bad, which is where the pain tends to orientate from, so im not really sure. i will look up what you said though, thanks for the well wishes on that. no complaints this end either, though i get a bit worried about these dissolveable screws, i have one right under my eye, it doesnt bother me but sometimes i swear its getting closer to it, id rather avoid having it removed though as they said because of the position they would have to go through the skin instead of under it. hope its nice a warm for you over there, its getting warmer over here, average about 12 degrees, whhheyyyyy lol. clocks go forward to night though so we are heading for summer at last! anyway i should go now i have nagged you to death, its been nice catching up with you, hope all is well, and i promise i will try to get some photos up asap. kind regards kat_uk xx > > Hi Cammie, im fine thanks how are you?
