Hi Corinne,

That's probably a good thing that you've never heard of distractors.

They're usually used when there are very large movements involved.

My mandible was advanced 17 mm forward and the condyle was

distracted 15 mm making a grand total of 32 mm of new bone in my

lower jaw on each side.

I'm really glad to hear everything went well at your surgeon's

appointment. What a relief that must have been. I hope everything

continues to progress well.
